The Fleet Safety Forum is a not for profit initiative by Brake, the road safety charity. The Fleet Safety Forum's aim is to help you prevent crashes involving at-work drivers by providing you with up to date guidance and tools to tackle road risk within your company (or companies you work with). The Fleet Safety Forum was established in 1995, making it one of the first and most established organisations working in this life-saving field, with a wealth of expertise.
One in four workplace deaths involve someone driving a motor vehicle, and it is estimated that a third or more road deaths involve a vehicle being driven for work. Globally, this means the Fleet Safety Forum and its subscribers are working to prevent about 400,000 deaths every year - more than 1,000 deaths every day. By prioritising road safety, companies can also lower their costs (through reductions in insurance premiums, reductions in the cost of vehicle repairs and lost employee time following crashes, and reduced fuel costs) and improve their reputations.
Subscription to Fleet Safety Forum is based on a low annual fee ranging from £155 to just £50 for charities (and is free if you are based in a country on the United Nations' Least Developed Countries list). Click the Join online now button for a full list of prices or to convert the cost into your local currency.
If more than one person from the same organisation wishes to subscribe, we offer discounted corporate rates. For details please call Roz on +44 (0)1484 559909.

Our acclaimed fleet manager guidance reports
Brake has written more than 50 reports for fleet managers on how to tackle road risk, on topics ranging from driver eyesight to vehicle maintenance systems, to recording and analysis of crash data. All these reports are downloadable through this site. Our reports address the need for managers to consider three areas - the journey, the driver, and the vehicle - in the context of risk assessment relating to safety and to the environment.
'Showcase' is our web portfolio of case studies of organisations that have significantly reduced their road risk through a variety of management methods. Organisations featured include many that have won awards in our annual Fleet Safety Awards program.
Target Zero e-bulletin
Every fortnight you receive our Target Zero ebulletin, keeping you up to date with the latest news on road risk management, such as the findings of new academic research and key global events.
Road Safety Library
Brake's online Road Safety Library databases key pieces of research by road safety academics around the globe. If you want to know the latest research on the dangers of mobile phones when driving, or on any other key road safety topic, you can look it up in our online library.
The Pledge is Brake's flagship campaign to stop dangerous driving. It enables at-work drivers to make a professional promise to comply with the most critical safety rules. The Pledge tool kit on this site includes a range of resources, from video clips to presentations, games and quizzes - ideal for driver induction programs or on-going educational and remedial programs. In addition, you can obtain promotional Pledge materials such as posters, stickers and leaflets, through the Brake shop. These can be branded with your company name if you require. As a subscriber you can attend a Pledge course for free, which trains you in the key messages of the Pledge and the resources available, enabling you to disseminate these messages within your workplace.
Fleet Safety Awards
As a subscriber, you have an opportunity to enter and attend our prestigious annual Fleet Safety Awards, bringing acclaim to your company if you win. The Awards dinner is a great opportunity to mingle with the 'best of the best' and share best practice.
Opportunities to engage in Brake's wider program of community events
The Fleet Safety Forum is part of Brake, the road safety charity. As a Fleet Safety Forum subscriber, you will be kept informed of Brake's wider program of community events, including how to take part in Road Safety Week, how to volunteer through staff out-reach programs in your community in schools and colleges, and how to fundraise for Brake in your workplace. Community engagement of this kind helps you to build commitment to road safety and team spirit internally, as well as contributing to a positive corporate social responsibility profile externally.
